These filters help to disperse the water evenly over the coffee bed, so they help you get a great extraction.

We actually suggest using one of these filters a couple of times before throwing it away. Just make sure to give it a good rinse between uses, and don't let it sit damp for too long, as that might impart undesirable flavours.
